Very clean facility and respectful staff

I would like to thank the staff at Medicana Nursing and Rehab Center, they really care about their residents. The staff is professional and caring. They are very attentive to the residents needs. This place is very clean. They have a good rehab team.

I had a great experience at Medicana Nursing and Rehab Center. The staff is professional, caring, and attentive, especially in providing exceptional care for my mother, who has dementia. The facility is well-maintained, and the environment feels welcoming. I truly appreciated the level of care and support provided during her temporary stay. After her discharge, my family and I were grateful for the helpful resources and information on in-home care for physical therapy, which made the transition back home much easier for my mom. Highly recommend!

We are very happy with the care that my aunt is receiving in this facility. They have great staff, everyone is compassionate, loving and caring. I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a clean, safe and friendly place for your family member. This is the place and they also have great activities for the patients. The administration is amazing, they go above and beyond to take care of the patients and their families as well. This place is exceptional and you won't regret taking your love one there.

Recently I’ve visited this facility for a family member and the level of care given to my loved one was amazing to see. You can tell they really care about their residents. This was a pleasant experience and I know first hand my family is in good hands in this facility. This is a home away from home. I highly recommend them. **Review for Medicana Rehab Center** When my father was admitted to Medicana, we were hopeful but unsure of his ability to participate in rehabilitation activities. Unfortunately, his condition quickly declined, and after a week, it became clear that he needed hospice care instead. Despite this, our experience at Medicana was nothing short of exceptional. The staff at Medicana were attentive, professional, and, most importantly, compassionate. They treated my father with dignity and respect, ensuring that he was as comfortable as possible during his stay. Even though he was unable to fully participate in rehab activities, the caregivers remained patient and supportive, always checking in on him and addressing his needs with kindness. What stood out the most was the warmth and empathy of the entire team. They not only cared for my father but also provided reassurance and guidance to our family during a very difficult time. Their dedication and humanity made all the difference, and for that, we are truly grateful. While our journey took an unexpected turn, I would wholeheartedly recommend Medicana to anyone in need of rehabilitation services. Their commitment to quality care and their genuine concern for their patients and families make them an outstanding choice.

My father got very compassionate care by the entire staff. Although he was unable to participate in true rehab activities Medicana did all they could do for him. A big thank you to everyone there.

The personal are very helpful and friendly. Food was rather bland. Overall experience was good. Hats off to the therapy crew

My mother is in rehab here and everyone is beyond amazing. She’s been in several rehab facilities in the past and never have we been to one where the staff is so incredible. They are patient, kind, and very upbeat.

This has got to be one of the best facilities in Florida!’ I came here to get physical therapy. I received extraordinary care from the nurses, tech aides, OT and PT!! Tamika from Administration was great, checking in on us and answering questions. A+ All Around!

All the staff that took care of my dad were great. Shavon and Monique were so helpful to me with the assistance they provided.

The first 3mos that our sister had been in this nursing facility has truly been nothing less than amazing. She came in with several serious health issues. It's been 6mos and she's 100% better.Before coming to Medicana we would have to check in on her at least 3-4 times a week. Medicana has made our life easier. The nursing staff here at Medicana make sure that all of her medications are given correctly. The NA are also very attentive to ALL of her health care needs. House keeping and laundry is always kept up-to-date. Tamia the director was the first person we met again nothing less than amazing. Tamia assured us that our sister would get the best care possible. Making sure that she explained everything we would need to know and that we understood. I recommended Medicana to anyone. Look no further 5 stars for sure

Couldn’t have picked a better place for my father. The staff are very caring and attentive to all of his needs which makes me very happy. And they have a GREAT physical therapy team! I highly recommend this place for your loved ones.

I don't have the words to express how pleased I am in how they are taking care of my sister. The staff is very knowledgeable and makes you feel like family. I made a tough decision in placing my sisterin a nursing home due to a massive stroke. Everyone mafe the transition frome home very seamless and eased my mind.wish there were more stars to give

Medicana is the second Rehab I’ve been in patient for in the past month. To compare the two.Medicana stands out by far. The accommodations were comfortable and the food was good for the most part. After all it is a Rehab Center. The staff were very efficient, friendly and accommodating. There are some I’d like to acknowledge by name. Monique the nurse manager was always friendly and available whenever I needed her or had questions about my medications. John, PT and Cheryl OT helped me so much in my speedy recovery. I went to Medicana on a stretcher and in a few weeks I’m now walking with a walker. Angelica in the dining room met all my requests. Keia the social worker was very friendly and efficient in arranging my intake and making sure I was comfortable, most importantly she worked with my VA caseworker on the phone and got me set up for discharge back home with help. The home health company came even came to see me before I left Medicana which made me feel comfortable. If there’s any complaint for me it would be there were a lot of insects, however on the day I left the exterminator did came in.

Terrific Staff, did not have to wait hours for meds. CNA's extremely helpful, very attentive. I have a big WOW for KEIA SMITH. she went far and above. She was able to get my RX's, she made sure that I had my equipment from Medicare and everything else i needed to leave the same day she requested it so I could leave that day. KUDOOS!!

I wish to highly recommend Medicana where my father is well taken care of and loves the staff and food. The staff are very caring. The social worker Kea Smith is exceptionally helpful, she’s goes above and beyond when it comes to patients and patients care and follow up. This is the only Nursing and Rehab center I have been to that made me feel at ease and comfortable. Others smelled of urine and the staff didn’t appear helpful or involved. The entire staff from medical to maintenance to front desk and kitchen staff are to be highly commended.

I'm a current patient at Medicana. The rehab department Casandra and Randy have been fantastic they've played a huge role in my therapy success. Nick the Rehab Director was very helpful and even rearranged my therapy schedule to Sunday when I made a special request. Every since I've been here Keia, my social worker and Monique the unit nurse manager have shown me so much care and compassion. Whenever I need anything they both are always willing to go above and beyond to make my stay here comfortable. The CNA's Fernelle, Fedlaine and Casandra always provide me with great service and help me with showering and care needs. The Activity staff come to my room and does my nails whenever I ask. Medicana even has a business office, Vanessa and Francine both helped me with all my financial questions. I've been to a few rehab facilities and overall Medicana is a great place. I'm truly grateful for all the people I've mentioned in this review.

To whom it may concern, Medicana Nursing & Rehab Center is second to none. I would like to identify the physical and occupational therapy team (John and Rick) at the facility as the BEST I've ever had. The rehab far exceeded my expectations they got me from bedridden to actually walking with a walker again in far under 1 month. The social worker Kia, unit nurse manager Monique, CNA Irene, and rest of administration always responded to anything I needed during my stay to make me as comfortable as possible. The food was 5 stars, Joe the food & nutrition manager came to my room and made sure I got the menu selections I wanted everyday. I owned 2 restaurants, so I know good food. If I ever have the need for rehab services again Medicana would be the only place I'd want to go.

Everyone here is very nice and friendly but I would like to smoke 1more time a day the staff is very attentive when you need them and they come right away. I like the activities too

Medicana is one of the Best Nursing facility I visited thus far. Great activities Good food and the Staff are to die far they really go out of their way to make sure their patient is well taken care especially during the pandemic

If you are looking for a good Skilled Nursing Facility for your love ones Medicana is the place to be. They have a phenomenal rehab team overall staff is very welcoming and helpful

The personnel in Medicana are excellent in taking care of me.The food is up to par. Matching of roomates is good. The CNA Joselynne is very caring and interactive with residents.

At Medicana the staff are extremely welcoming and compassionate to all of their residents and visitors. The place is always cleaned well and is beautiful inside and out.very spacious and has a comfortable loving atmosphere. There is also a variety of fun activities such as a band and singing entertainment crafts, bingo and many other fun games! The residents are always happy and smiling and are extremely cared for 100% I strongly recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a Skilled Nursing facility for their love ones

Excellent staff from administrative to nursing. Very accommodating, knowledgeable and caring. My father has been in 5 rehabs in the area and Medicana has been the best of all. I have done tours of 11 different rehab facilities and we are so please with choosing Medicana. Extremely quick response to the patient call button! A nurse or assistant is in the room within minutes of calling for someone.

The staff from Admistrative to nurses are fantastic. Everyone is extremely accommodating and friendly. My father has been in 5 rehabs in the area and this has been the best of them all. I’ve never witnessed a faster response time when the call button is used. A nurse or assistant is in the room within minutes!

I've worked with nursing centers for 25+ years & Medicana's staff are among the most caring and compassionate I've encountered!!! The residents are extremely well cared for and the building is always very clean and home-like. I highly recommend Medicana Nursing and Rehab for your loved ones.

My mother is a resident there. After myself and my 3 brothers havent seen her in years, medicana is the best. The staff are pleasant always..all questions are answered. This nursing home is so clean! The other day they were dusting crown molding on the door frames! My mom likes the foid and everyone speaks to her..always. They are very friendly with a smile! My mom is bkibd and has been there since 2013. Charlene

Medicana, in my opinion, excels in providing quality care by a team of well qualified and compassionate staff. My wife spent 5 weeks as a resident at Medicana following a near fatal illness and confinement at a local hospital. She was not expected to live upon her arrival at the Emergency Room. Because of the excellent care she received at Medicana, she fully recovered from this grave illness and has continued to do well to the present.. I would give Medicana an unqualified recommendation.

I am a current resident at Medicana Nursing and Rehab Center. I find the nursing staff to be caring and courteous. The staff from the therapy department housekeeping, and maintenance are also full of people that try to help when ever they can. Activities wise we go on trips, play games, have parties and have live entertainment. Overall, I really enjoy living here.

My grandmother was at this facility for rehab after her hospital stay. She had Medicare and so we had a lot of options when it came to selecting a place. We went with Medicana because another friends Father had been there and recommended it. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, the nurses were all very helpful and the therapists did a great job of getting my grandmother back to being her old self again! My whole family is so grateful for all that Medicana did for her and we would HIGHLY recommend it if you need therapy or nursing help.
